Back to Back National Champions
Tristan Speer is the offensive coordinator at Iowa Western Community College, where he took over the offense in March 2024—just two months after accepting a position at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Despite the quick transition, Speer made an immediate impact, helping guide the Reivers to a strong offensive showing that averaged 32.7 points per game. The team peaked in the postseason and ultimately captured the NJCAA National Championship, and 2025 Championship, continuing Iowa Western’s tradition of excellence.
Before joining the Reivers, Speer served as the running backs coach at Delta State University, where he played a key role in player development and offensive strategy. His coaching career began after a successful run as a quarterback at Highland Community College, followed by a position as a student assistant at Missouri Western State University.
A Kansas native, Speer led Doniphan West High School to a 9-2 season and a playoff victory in 2012 before transferring to Troy High School, where he helped lead the Trojans to 17 wins and back-to-back playoff appearances in 2013 and 2014.
Known for his adaptability, leadership, and offensive acumen, Speer continues to establish himself as a rising star in the college football coaching ranks.
