Monty Roe Defensive Coordinator/ Associate Head Coach is heading into his second season at Graceland University. Roe has 28 years of college coaching experience with 18 of those years in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Roe also has 5 years of coordinating experience in NCAA Div 2 with Wayne State College.
Roe has valuable recruiting experience in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Alaska and California Junior Colleges. Roe has proven himself with his understanding of multiple schemes and techniques used on the defensive end of the ball.
Head coach Patrick Ross commented, “The Graceland coaching staff added one of the most experienced defensive coordinators in the NAIA. Having coached against Coach Roe for several years, I know how difficult it is for offenses to prepare for his defense. Monty is known as a relentless recruiter and he will give everything he has to help Graceland University and our football program”.
Outside of his football duties, Coach Roe also has extensive experience in teaching at the collegiate level, compliance issues, budget planning, fundraising, public relations, and summer camp organization.
