Josh Fullmer

Josh Fullmer is in his fourth season as a member of the Utah Tech Athletic Training staff. Fullmer joined Utah Tech from Colorado Mesa University (CMU), where he had served as the head certified athletic trainer since 2008. He initially started at CMU as an assistant athletic trainer and clinical coordinator for the athletic training education program, a role he held for two years before becoming the head athletic trainer.

During his tenure at CMU, Fullmer was deeply involved in the Department of Kinesiology as an instructor and preceptor for the athletic training education program. Additionally, he was a key member of the CMU athletic department administrative team.

Fullmer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Weber State University in 2003. He furthered his education by earning a Master of Science degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Utah in 2006. While at Utah, he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the football team, contributing to the team’s historic undefeated season and Fiesta Bowl bid in 2004-2005, known as the first “BCS Busters” season. He is also certified as an emergency medical technician.

Josh Fullmer’s professional experience includes working with two Major League Baseball organizations: the Milwaukee Brewers in 2003 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004. Additionally, he served as an athletic trainer for the Las Vegas All-American Classic College Football from 2003 to 2006, culminating in his role as the head athletic trainer and medical coordinator in his final year.

Beyond his responsibilities at Utah Tech, Fullmer will be working as the medical director for the All-Alaska Football Camp for the twelfth year. 

Josh and his wife, Amberlee, have four children: Kaylee, Scott, Allison, and Carson. Outside of his professional duties, Josh enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, backpacking, and golf.
