Gabe Loberg

Loberg enters his 3rd season as the Defensive Backs coach at Gustavus Adolphus College (NCAA DIII) in Saint Peter, MN. In 2025, his first season leading the full secondary, he oversaw a unit that improved its pass defense from allowing 258 ypg in ’24 to 231 ypg in 2025. Loberg’s secondary also collected 13 INTS, good for 2nd in the MIAC.

Loberg also has an extensive background in Strength & Conditioning. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Gustavus, and holds his CSCS from the National Strength & Conditioning Association. In 2024, he coordinated and led the strength and conditioning for Gustavus Football and Men’s Tennis. In addition to his collegiate role, he also serves as a strength coach for Performance Lab at OFC in Mankato, Minnesota, where he works with athletes from elementary all the way through the professional ranks, as well as leading off-season programming and coaching for local high schools.

As a player at Gustavus, Loberg played free safety, and was a contributor to the 2023 squad that reached its first MIAC title game since 1987 in 2023, and had its winningest season in program history (8-2) in 2021.
Loberg is originally from Granby, Colorado, and holds the single-season passing TDs record at his alma-mater, Middle Park High School.
