Coach Donny Moore is going into his second season with the Skyhawks. Previously, Moore had a one-year stint with Fort Lewis back in 2016 as the wide receivers and tight ends coach.
While with the Skyhawks in 2016, Moore helped lead AJ Shaw to Second-Team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors as a tight end and Jordan Gillen All-RMAC Honorable Mention at wide receiver.
Prior to rejoining Fort Lewis, Moore spent his past three seasons with the Mustangs at Western New Mexico University. In 2022, the Mustangs bounced back from a 1-10 record the previous season to finish 6-5 overall and fifth in the Lone Star Conference. With the Mustangs, Moore oversaw the development of the tight ends and defensive back positions while also being charged with the recruiting of the Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Junior College fields.
Moore oversaw the implementation of the Mustangs high-tempo offense while also assisting all aspects of the game as the video coordinator. On the field, Moore was directly charged with group development for his assigned fields which included player accountability, daily position group meetings, and skill work.
While with the Mustangs, Moore helped oversee the development of 2019 D2football.com NCAA Division II All-American and First Team All-LSC player Reggie Colson III. Additionally, Moore also coached other all-conference players such as Kourde Roberts, Joshua Powell, and Isaac Crichton. Powell was named the LSC Freshman of the Year as well.
In 2017 Moore spent a single season with Scottsdale Community College as the tight end and offensive line coach. Moore graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Adams State University in 2014 and his Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western New Mexico University in 2020.
