Corey Bethany

Corey Bethany is the offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at William Jewell College. Since joining the Cardinals in 2024, Jewell has had six offensive All-GLVC players and saw running back Keaundre McCullough earn All-America honors after rushing for more than 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns. He oversaw an offense that was fourth in the league with 25.9 points per game (2024). The Jewell offense averaged 5.65 yards per play in 2025, second most in the Jewell’s NCAA history, scoring 269 points.

Prior to Jewell, he spent four years at Lindenwood University, helping the Lions to a record of 19-13 including their first two seasons at the Division I level. As a running back coach, at Lindenwood, he helped recruit and mentored Robert Giaimo to GLVC Freshman of the Year honors. He then moved to coach quarterbacks and coached Cade Brister to an All-GLVC First Team selection. Along with coaching, Coach Bethany served as the Director of Recruiting, leading Lindenwood to the 9th ranked class in FCS (2024).

Before coaching on the collegiate level, Coach Bethany coached thirteen years of high school football in St. Louis, Missouri. He served as the head coach at St. Mary’s High School for four years, recording an overall record of 31-16. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach to powerhouse Christian Brothers College High School as well as Lindbergh High School. Along with coaching high school football, Coach Bethany also coached professionally. He was the head coach of the 2016 River City Raiders of the American Indoor Football League and served as offensive coordinator of three different teams in the IFL (Grand Island Danger, Allen Wranglers, and Cedar Rapids Titans). Coach Bethany started his professional indoor coaching career with the River City Rage of the United Indoor Football League (2007).

As a player, he was a wide receiver at William Jewell College before playing professionally for the River City Rage.
